I'm Elora! I am a social worker, psychotherapist, entrepreneur and business owner. I grew up in the Niagara Region in a family of entrepreneurs and business owners. When I was 8-years-old, I started working with my father during evenings and weekends on his side hustles. When I was 15-years-old, I started working at McDonald's and within one year I worked myself up the ranks into a managerial role.
During my Psychology degree at Brock University, I worked as a teaching assistant with undergraduate students and discovered my love for coaching and learning. After completing my Master of Social Work degree in 2017, I opened a private psychotherapy practice. Nova Phoenix Counselling Services has since grown to 50+ team members! All of this to say, business management, entrepreneurship, and coaching are parts of my identity since a young age. My additional training in Internal Family Systems Levels I and II largely shapes the way I interact with humans and the world around me. I approach learning, growth, and relationships from a lens of curiosity, playfulness, and creativity. My psychology and social work background lend a deep understanding of how people, systems, and business work. I am especially interested in working with marginalized business owners and entrepreneurs to foster opportunities and prosperity. In November 2024, I was a finalist in the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Awards for the Health Care Hero category.
